A Christmas Carol 1984

Set in Victorian era London, commodities trader Ebenezer Scrooge is the OG archetypical, antisocial, anathema your mother warned you about.

He declines his nephew's invitation for Christmas dinner. Reluctantly grants underpaid employee Bob Cratchit's request to have Christmas Day off. And on the list goes.

At every turn, Scrooge needs redemption. He has had many decades to change. He never had time for family or friends, but stubbornly clung to all that was self-serving in his business.

Will Mr. Scrooge ever ponder anything besides business? His mortality? Will he ever take a different path?
