Mark Heard pt I (with biographer Matthew Dickerson)

From the mid-1970s to his death in 1992, singer/songwriter Mark Heard recorded 14 albums and produced and wrote for several other artists. In 2003 scholar Matthew Dickerson released a biography of Heard drawing from interviews, lyrics and the artist’s own journal. Dickerson joins the Orphans of God podcast to reflect on both the book and man 20 years later.
