Cal OES works with State Partners to educate workers on Bird Flu

Even though all known human cases of bird flu in California have resulted in minor symptoms with no hospitalizations, individuals and workers suspecting of avian flu infection should contact their local public health department to arrange for testing and treatment. Cal OES continues to work with California Department of Food and Agriculture, California Department of Public Health, California Department of Industrial Relations and California Labor and Workforce Agency to educate workers on their rights and options if they suspect infection.
