University Hospitals (UH) in Northeast Ohio has become the first in the region to use the Da Vinci 5 (DV5) robotic system for surgeries.

The DV5, offering improved visualization, haptic feedback, and enhanced ergonomics, will be used for various procedures like esophagectomies and gastric bypasses.

UH also has eight other Da Vinci robots across its community hospitals and plans to add more, Global Data has reported.
