Discipline Drives out Distraction

2 Timothy 2:4 “No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.”

As Christians we are all soldiers in the Army of the LORD engaged in the constant battle for our attention through digital media.

Social media is a fabulous tool! I use it daily to share my podcast and posts on topics the LORD directs me to share. However, the danger is how quickly we are drawn down the “the scroll hole” wasting our precious, irreplaceable minutes and hours.

If we are committed to Finish Strong in 2024, and in our life journey, we must willingly develop strong discipline and set our faces like flint.

Isaiah 50:7 “Because the Sovereign LORD helps me; I will not be disgraced. Therefore, have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.”

Isaiah description of setting your face like flint describes Jesus’ steadfastness and determination to endure crucifixion for the sins of mankind. To FINISH STRONG in 2024 we need embrace discipline.

Acts 20:24 “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God”

LET US ALL GO FINISH THE WORK ASSIGNED TO US BY THE LORD!
