Naked Alibi (1954)

Directed by Jerry Hopper. The story follows a determined ex-police chief, Joe Conroy (Sterling Hayden), who becomes obsessed with exposing a seemingly respectable citizen, Al Willis (Gene Barry), as the sadistic mastermind behind a series of murders. When Willis flees to a seedy Mexican border town, Conroy pursues him, uncovering a world of corruption and violence.
