How Elon Musk Bought Being the "Founder of Tesla"

Why's Elon called founder of Tesla, when he didn't even start the company? I have a theory. So in 2003, 2 Silicon Valley engineers needed money to build their startup idea, Tesla. Luckily, Elon just made $100 million dollars selling PayPal. So they asked him. But then the engineers made a big mistake. They took on too much of Elon's money, and he became the head of the board of directors. Which is like a boss to the CEO. So a few years later when he didn't like where Tesla was going, he fired the CEO. So here's where the timeline gets interesting. Elon became CEO in 2007, but Tesla didn't even start producing their first car until 2008. So Elon's led the company through most of it's life. Thing is, coming up with an idea is easy.
