Synopsis

After a party, brothers Mac and Skinny Carter, along with their best friend Tyler Gage, break into the Maryland School of Arts and trash the theater. When a guard bursts in, Tyler allows his two friends to escape and takes full responsibility for the disaster. He is sentenced to 200 hours of community service, which must be performed on the school premises. While working, Tyler observes a dance class and meets Nora Clark, a beautiful and talented student who is preparing for her senior showcase , an audition that could land her a job with one of the professional dance troupes that will be attending the presentation. He is immediately intrigued by her. When Mac and Skinny come to see Tyler on the school grounds, Nora watches from a window as Tyler dances, mocking a mix of break dancing and ballet moves he had observed.

When Nora's dance partner, Andrew, injures his ankle, Nora is left without a partner for her choreography.
