The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim FAILS! Box Office BOMB!

Kraven the Hunter wasn't the worst performing debut film this past weekend, that distinction belongs to The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. Underperforming even the most pessimistic projections, the Peter Jackson endorsed animated outing managed a meager $4.6 Million Domestic opening and $10.3 Million worldwide. It earned every penny of it. The repurposed tale of Helm Hammerhand for the modern audience was doomed to die. Philippa Boyens, the co-writer on all Jackson related works, defended her nonsense in this film by misquoting J.R.R. Tolkien and underscoring just how lucky we were to get the brilliance of the original trilogy. Who's excited for the Hunt for Gollum???
