What’s going on, Headbangers! This week’s show delves into the memories of a battle between The Little Red Ford Ranger That Could vs. Autobahn A7. A wild road of mega climbs and long inclines, filled with over 1000 lbs of snowboarding gear and in the cab, stuffed with seven military-grade dudes, heading to Garmisch on a Thursday night before a four-for-$10 weekend. What was supposed to be a 3-hour road trip turned into…”The Battle of A7”. I think back to those days and the chirping that little 4-popper Ford Ranger and its driver took. That driver, being me, took. Through humor and frustration, we finally made it to Garmisch, and that was the best damn schnitzel mit jägersoße pommes with a tall Dunkelweizen I think we’ve ever had. Well, as we all reunited for it yearly, it’s clear…we survived, we endured, we persevered. And if memory serves me right, that weekend, The Little Red Ford Ranger That Could was the hero of the trip. Gas mileage over horsepower. 8 months later, I traded The Little Ford Ranger That Could for a Ford Explorer Sport Trac. What a great truck that was.

We added songs from the soundtrack of that trip this week. Also included in this show is a great set of Dad Rock, Duets, a world premiere, and a band that is a favorite on the USO circuit. We’ve got something for all generations: Quiet, Baby Boomer, GenX, Millennials, GenZ, and Gen Alpha.

Uffda…hard rockers, headbangers, and the hardcore…When I close my eyes and think back to those days, back when we were in our 20s, young, Spartan-like, indestructible, bullet-proof…my brain lights up like a Starlight Flare and the movie of my memories starts.
