As Dorey-Stein recalled how Trump spent an hour with Bill O’Reilly at the White House before his interview with the former Fox News host, she noted that Trump is “vulnerable” because he doesn’t have a transcript to fall back on whenever he blasts the press for spreading “fake news.” She continued to say that, the way things are, White House stenographers are only used by Trump to advance his efforts to distort the truth.

“I quit because I couldn’t proud of where I worked any more,” Dorey-Stein said. “I felt like President Trump was lying to the American people, and also not even trying to tell the truth. He wasn’t even going the extra mile to have the stenographers in the room.”
