‘Free Hostages Or…’, Trump Warns Hamas, Iran Takes Dig At US, Says ‘Can End Gaza War Overnight By…’

US President-elect Donald Trump said that he is working to secure the release of the Israeli hostages held in Gaza. “We are trying to help very strongly in getting the hostages back,” Trump said on Dec. 16 during his first news conference since his election victory.
The incoming US President reiterated that Hamas must reach a deal with Israel before he takes office on Jan. 20, or face the consequences. On what actions would be taken against Hamas if this didn’t happen, Trump said the group is going to “have to determine what that means” but “it’s not going to be pleasant.”
Trump also confirmed that he held a call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the weekend.
