Following seeking treatment and opening up about his feelings, he expressed that life became more manageable. He now grasps the concept that it is acceptable to not feel okay.

In a piece written for the website Motto, Bell asserts that grappling with mental illness is not a sign of weakness. The famous musician, is known for his exceptional songwriting and performances. In his 60s, "The Boss" shared with CBS Sunday Morning that he experienced prolonged episodes of depression.
