David Sachs and Mark Cuban Debate Before the November 2024 Election

Before the Presidential election, I created a clip based on a heated debate between David O. Sacks and Mark Cuban on All-In Podcast. Using that opportunity, I highlighted one of the unique cultural aspects of the US that makes it exceptional: Freedom of speech. These gentlemen passionately advocated for their favorite Presidential Candidate. In the clip attached here, I did bet three things:

1. They don’t make it a big deal when these two entrepreneurs meet again. They will use humor to make fun of the serious debate they were engaged in and continue the friendship as if nothing happened. I don’t know whether the two have met since the election. I will report the news as soon as I get it and share whether my bet came true.

2. The second prediction was that David Sacks would probably congratulate Kamala Harris if she wins, and likewise, Mark Cuban would congratulate if @Donald Trump wins. We now know that Trump won, and the Hill reported on November 6th that Mark Cuban congratulated Trump, saying, “He won fair and square.” For those who follow the news, Trump and Cuban have a love-hate relationship. They insulted and complimented each other over the years. This is only possible in the US, where an affluent citizen like Mark can insult a former President and President-elect and get away with it!

3. The third prediction was that if Kamala wins, she most probably involves David Sacks in her administration in one form or another. Likewise, if Trump wins, Mark Cuban may be tapped in some form of advisory role in the new administration.

According to the New York Times, the President-Elect picked David Sacks, former PayPal Co-Founder and Executive, to oversee AI and crypto.

Congrats to Sacks for this well-deserving appointment. These two new tech sectors- AI and Crypto, are uncharted waters with attached potential and risk. We need clear direction and vision to leverage these latest innovations in ways that advance the betterment of humanity and our civilization.

David Sacks is a world-class entrepreneur and investor who has demonstrated extraordinary competencies in multiple frontiers: the Investment, Technology, and Innovation sectors, and will for sure be the right person to advise the President and the responsible cabinet members to make appropriate, timely, visionary, futuristic, and optimistic decisions on time.

What remains from my predictions is whether Trump will seek the opinions of many smart entrepreneurs like Cuban, who didn’t vote for him, for the next four years. My gut tells me he will, but time will tell.

America needs all its best contributors, even if they don't have the same ideological persuasions and vision for America’s future and may not agree on some key policy issues.
