Russian tanker sinks near Crimea after heavy storm

Two Russian tankers –  the Volgoneft 212 and the Volgoneft 239 – spilled oil into the Kerch Strait after sustaining serious damage during a heavy storm on Sunday (December 15). Reuters was able to confirm the vessel in the video as Volgoneft 239 from the aisle, handrails, color of deck and other features that match file imagery. Reuters cannot confirm that the broken part belongs to Volgoneft 212.
