Sam Darnold’s resurgence with the Vikings’ fueled by adversity | Monday Night Countdown

On June 7th, the Vikings named newly drafted JJ McCarthy their opening day starter. Then, before he even a snap in a regular season game, the unthinkable happened. During camp in August, McCarthy suffered a full Meniscus tear and underwent season ending surgery. In stepped veteran and well traveled quarterback, former number 3 overall pick, Sam Darnold.
