According to RFK Jr, both his uncle and father were "almost certainly" assassinated by the military-industrial complex because they wanted to "shatter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds".

He argues that assassinations of prominent political figures, the Vietnam War, 9/11, and Covid have all "pushed us further down the road into a security state".
