In ancient times, dogs helped our ancestors hunt for mammoth and toothed tigers. Dog teams bare the credit naturalists, geologists and other adventure-seekers ventured into expeditions and conquest of the Arctic and Antarctic. In the world of today, many dogs live a comfortable couch life next to their beloved owners and we are grateful to them for the company. But wait, not all dogs. There are those who work hard, shoulder to shoulder with their humans like the dogs of days long gone.

This is why we decided to show you a video of this amazing and hard-working dog named Newt who is dealing with errands so many, many times his size. Watch!

Newt is a registered AKC Pembrook Welsh Corgi who thinks he is a cattle dog. He enjoys helping move Angus cattle on the ranch in Oregon. He is always very confident and proud, checking back with his mom often to make sure she sees how good he is doing. His success is based mostly on the fact that the cows know exactly where they are going. Dogs are absolutely amazing. They remind us of smaller and hairier versions of humans that love nothing more than to have fun. It seems like we can never get enough of the pooch awesomeness.

Corgis have larger than life personalities packed into their small bodies. They love to play and are trusting and quick to offer affection. Corgis are extremely happy and attentive dogs, that thrive on being the center of attention and will want to be involved in everything you and your family do. They are eager to please and have a lot of energy, although it won’t take much effort to tire them out. Corgis are also thought to have a great sense of humor and will provide your family with constant entertainment.

Because of their big, outgoing personalities and level of activity, Corgis are often thought as big dogs on short legs. Corgis are high-energy dogs and will require a moderate amount of exercise to maintain their health and happiness. They will chase a ball with surprising speed and will be eager to carry out any task given to them. In fact, they need a job or frequent activity in order to be happy.

Without one, they can become destructive, so they are best suited to active homes who have the time for their dog. But when given daily exercise and loving companionship, they are very amicable dogs and easy to live with–they just need something to do.
