The Church of the Holy Innocents in High Beach, Essex, is a Grade II listed building in the heart of Epping Forest with a rich history

The church was designed by Arthur Blomfield in the Early English Gothic style. Blomfield was a leading architect of the Gothic revival and was also the architect to the Bank of England.
The church was built in 1873 to replace the earlier St Paul's church, which was in disrepair. Thomas Charles Baring, a director of Barings Brothers' Bank, paid for the church and Charles William Hamilton Sotheby, the lord of the manor, donated the land.
he church was consecrated in 1883 and became the parish church in 1884.
The church has a 125-foot tower and spire with 13 bells cast at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry. Visitors can climb the tower to learn how to ring the bells, or sit inside and listen to the Father Willis organ.
