Three KCPD shot, suspect killed in gunfire exchange

Three Kansas City police officers were shot near U.S. 40 and Manchester Avenue shortly before noon Sunday. The suspect, who was a person of interest in the July 6 murder of UMKC student Sharath Koppu at J's Chicken & Fish, was later killed in a gunfire exchange with KCPD.
