The Origins of Scarlet Witch's Children

Wiccan and Speed were created by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung, debuting in Young Avengers in 2005. Since their father, Vision, is an android who cannot have biological children, Wanda magically created twin sons, Billy and Tommy, in The Vision and the Scarlet Witch #12 (1986).

Later, Wanda discovered that her children's souls were formed from the energy of the demon lord Mephisto. When Mephisto reclaimed that energy, Billy and Tommy seemingly disappeared, and Wanda was forced to forget them. However, their souls were reincarnated into new bodies and raised by adoptive parents. Once Billy and Tommy realized their powers, they began embracing their superhero destiny.
