A Civil Society Part 2 – Deut. Chpt. 22

This morning's study is part 2 of a 6-part study on the rules of civil society. We're going to see some interesting things in the text, just like last week. As I was studying this chapter, something occurred to me: the fact that God wrote these rules down in his Word is an indication that the issues they address must have been fairly common. It turns out they were, and still are today.

Just as a reminder from last week, there are some things to keep in mind as we study:

•Some of these things will be foreign to us because the mindset was different back then.
•Some of the rules will defy explanation using modern standards and values.
•Some of these things we will struggle to understand; we just have to believe and accept.
