The Stone of Madness is an intense real-time tactics and stealth game set in a Spanish madhouse during the late 18th century. Nestled in the Pyrenees, an ancient Jesuit monastery doubles as a madhouse and an inquisitorial prison. Within its confines, five enigmatic individuals are held captive under various pretexts. Subjected to harsh punishment and engulfed in madness and despair, they begin to hatch an escape plan. The game employs an isometric perspective, allowing you to alternately control each character to facilitate their escape. The way you play affects their mental state, potentially leading to a “Stone of Madness”, which introduces new impairments and adverse effects like paranoia, dementia, or violent outbursts. Explore the environment to uncover clues and tools essential for your escape. Exercise caution, however, as being caught in forbidden areas will provoke a harsh response from the guards.

The Stone of Madness will be available for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X & Nintendo Switch on Jan 28.
