It all started in the garden with Eve looking for opportunity with the snake. The perpetual insecurity of the many monsters in the world and the desire of women, as the weaker sex, to harness her own monster to protect her from all the other ones. Nice guys do not make women feel safe. So in the pursuit of safety and security, evil is unleashed, and the Bible concerns itself with this problem over many thousands of years in every case.
