The Bible clearly and unequivocally affirms Jesus Christ's divinity, and Hebrews 1:8-12 is a cornerstone in this revelation. Here, God the Father speaks directly to Jesus the Son, declaring Him as "God" whose throne will endure forever. This passage is not mere flattery or poetic license; it is the Father attesting to the Son's divine nature and eternal sovereignty.

Hebrews 1:8 - "But about the Son he says, 'Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.'" - This verse directly addresses Jesus as "God," establishing His eternal reign.

Hebrews 1:9 - "You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy." - Here, the Father acknowledges Jesus' moral perfection, which qualifies Him for His divine role.

This divine dialogue doesn't stop there. The Father further elevates the Son by ascribing to Him the attributes of Yahweh from Psalm 102, directly linking Jesus to the Creator of the universe:

Hebrews 1:10-12 - "He also says, 'In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.'" - This passage confirms Jesus as the immutable, eternal God, the same Yahweh who created and will ultimately transform the cosmos.

These verses from Hebrews are not just theological poetry but a bold declaration of Jesus' deity. The Father Himself honors the Son with titles and attributes that belong only to God, thus affirming the Christian doctrine of the Trinity - one God in three persons, where Jesus is fully divine yet distinct from the Father.
