For Noting Is Secret

I had the biggest crush on this guy in 5th grade - that was in 1974. I ran into him 8 years later at Fort Carson, Colorado, and then again in 2014 in Advance, NC.
So, it's not like I didn't care about him in 2014. To the contrary, I helped him in a number of ways to include getting into a VA college program.
But, he just kept refusing to do the right thing, and it was putting a lot of us in jeopardy. When he simply projected back onto me, I went higher. I had no choice, to remain silent was to be just as guilty.
As Deitrich Bonhoeffer so eloquently put it: “Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act.”
I had nothing to do with the current situation. Tonight, I wept.
