Emory is a Spayed, F, approx 2, UTD, Pit x. She is super sweet, smart, eager to follow, starved for attention. She has been in a large muni dog pound and at Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter for most of her life, about 1.5 years. Her reason for being in B&T was because she really likes people and she gets excited and jumpy. She could also be a bull in a china shop, zooming around the house and bouncing off the furniture. She has taken to training well and had some time to decompress and that's when her real personality came out. She's actually quite calm. Med to low energy. She is excitable but can be turned off as easily as on. She was a puller, not anymore. Good with dogs, Good candidate for cats though it has not been tested. We're going to see my grandsons in 3 days. I think she'll like it. (Stay Tuned) Calm and quiet in her crate. Responds to the word no. Is easily corrected and redirected. Doesn't require huge amounts of exercise though she wont say no to it. Enjoys the car and new adventures. Still cant sit still when cuddling. It's like she cant believe it's really happening. Good with feeding, take treats easily. Has a motherly instinct. Avoids trouble.
She'll be here for 6 more days and that would be the best time to snatch her up. Decompressed and ready to go. If not she goes back to the shelter to wait.
All adoption inquiries should be made to Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford, Ct. Any questions about her behavior just ask in comments.
