The Pulpit can be the Front Line if we so Choose - Dylan Oakley, 8 December 2024

This is the prophetic word I brought at Life Church in Chinchilla on Sunday, 8 December. The day before I brought a condensed 15-minute version of this word to a pastors and leaders meeting led by Pastor Mark Ironside.

In the account of David and Goliath, there is a contested valley between the Philistine army and the armies of the living God. The battle lines were clearly drawn. And what the Israelites were not prepared to fight for, Goliath was ready to possess.

"And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them." (1 Sam 17:3)

The battle lines are clearly drawn today between Satan and the people of God. Humanity is under threat of total corruption like never before in history. We have queer theory and sexual perversion awash in the media and in our schools. We have Aboriginal spiritism and animistic religion in our churches and other institutions. We have been subject to the most aggressive politico-pharma tyranny in human history.

The church is God's Man on the earth today to deal with the threats to humanity and to defend the contested ground — that is, our children, our families, our churches, our schools, our institutions, our governments.
