The mystery of Angikuni Lake is one of the most chilling unsolved cases in Canadian folklore. Set in the vast, frozen wilderness of the Northwest Territories, the story tells of an entire Inuit village that reportedly disappeared without a trace in the 1930s. A fur trapper named Joe Labelle, familiar with the area, claimed to have stumbled upon the village only to find it eerily silent. Homes were abandoned, food was left uneaten, and even the sled dogs had perished. Adding to the mystery, graves in the village cemetery were said to have been unearthed and emptied.
