The MSI arrives in a large Microtech box alongside this tri-fold flyer and it has a buttery smooth opening action plus a super safe lockup right from day one. I was kind of worried about buying this knife because early MSI models suffered from some safety issues - but my 2024 made RAM-LOK is just rock solid. And to my biggest surprise, it also comes without any blade play which makes this knife my very first cross bar folder that has absolutely no wiggle.

And I genuinely recommend trying the MSI, since it’s not only good looking, but also very innovative. It’s the first model Microtech ever released with their brand-new locking mechanism and proprietary M390MK blade steel. It also features uniform T8 body screws, and super robust T15 pivot hardware.
