Why Does Gen-Z Want To Be Ugly

In this video I cover the topic of toxic shame as described by John Bradshaw in his 1988 book "Healing The Shame That Binds You". I link this concept to the behaviour of the Zoomers who are showcased in the video we watch together.

When shame becomes a fixture of a person's identity it has a tendency to transform into self-hatred. In turn, this self-hatred often manifests as body mutilation and sometimes worse.

A contingent of zoomers are in the grips of this phenomenon and their behaviour can be explained in such terms.
