On December 7, 1941, after a night of revelry, pilots Ken Taylor and George Welch raced to their planes to face the Japanese armada attacking Pearl Harbor. Despite being vastly outnumbered, they managed to shoot down six enemy planes in their barely armed P-40s, acting without orders. Their bravery earned them the Distinguished Service Cross, but should it have been the Medal of Honor?
