The Political Spotlight's Kristopher H. Bilbrey opens this episode by discussing what it means to be a TRUE Public Servant! To be someone who truly gives all they have to serve the people and the community!

Most elected and/or appointed officials/public servants do not fully grasp what being a "PUBLIC SERVANT" means! But Rick Sanders did!

Rick Sanders was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, friend, small business owner, firefighter, EMT, and much more! Service to his family, friends, and community was the very core of his being!

Sadly, at approximately 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, Rick lost his life, WHILE IN THE SERVICE TO OTHERS!

While doing something that he LOVED, fighting a house fire with his fellow firefighters in Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana, Rick became ill, collapsed, and died a short time later!

Rick's passing will leave the City of Winchester with a void that it will not be able to fill!

Sadly, he leaves behind a wife, adult children, grandchildren, and a community of friends who will never forget Rick, his friendship, or his service!

This 349th episode of The Political Spotlight is a tribute to Rick Sanders... and hopefully, it will be an example for others to attempt to live by! (Rick Sanders - End of Watch: 12.12.24... Rest in Peace!)
