DARKNESS and LIGHT - The Light Himself came down to fight. - Spoken Poetry

This poem from Gabriel Mattix describes the existence and tension of both darkness and light in this world. At first, the poet laments the oppressive darkness of this world which smothers and stifles goodness and life, but then the poet turns to praise and victorious proclamation of the truth that Jesus Christ, the true Light, has come and defeated the darkness. Jesus has risen from the dead and all who believe in Him will be lifted out of death and darkness, and up into light and life for eternity.
