Action Radio 12/12/24, Feds Forfeiting State Land Back to the States.

This is the beginning of a bill I'll probably be writing this weekend. As most people know, especially out West, the federal government has illegally occupied up to 70% of some States, Nevada probably being the worst. Remember where they did the above ground nuclear atom bomb tests before Hiroshima? Nevada!

The current school of thought is that this actually is federal land and they can keep it. If it is going to be given back to the States, then Congress, and Congress only, has the power to distribute the land back through Article 4, Section 3, Clause 2. But that's not the governing Article here, because Article 1, under the powers of Congress, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17, says the feds can only own State land through the consent of the State Legislature, and only for land for arsenals, magazines, dockyards, and other needful buildings.

So, to cut to the chase, the feds are illegally occupying up to 70% of various State's land, and I'm going to write a bill forfeiting that land BACK to the States. Sound interesting? I'll explain on the show.
