Whoever Says Thou Fool in Danger of Hellfire - Defending the Bible
Proving that there is no contradiction in the Word of God. The enemies of God lie about the Bible and claim there are many contradictions. They overwhelm with vast lists of things that they claim are lies, contradictions, and hypocrisy but they do this by hiding the context, the intent and sometimes misconstrue the very words used. Not only do we refute these claims but in so doing solidify out understanding of the Bible and the gospel.
In the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:25) Jesus is talking about the condition of the heart. Just as a murderer is in danger of hellfire, so too is the Christian who calls his brother a fool with that same level of anger and/or without cause. This does not mean that some people do not lack sense or intelligence and this can safely be pointed out to them without sinning.
The scriptures that are cited as contradicting Jesus are listed below. Only 3 citations use the word 'fool' as derived from Greek moros, derived from mueo and similar to Hebrew kesil. All the other instances are erroneously used in the Satanic arguments by lyingforjesus.org and do not imply a fool to which deep mysteries of God have been revealed, wisdom which is not commonly known. Of those that do use moros or similar word (Matthew 23:17 and Galatians 3:1) the former is said by God himself who is perfectly justified in whatever He chooses to say and the latter is said not with anger and malice but compassion with the aim of correcting a church that had been misled by those whom God might apply the term moros.
"But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell." Matthew 5:21-22
