Borderline Personality disorder usually manifests in young adulthood and is due to past trauma. It sinks a person's soul into anxiety, depression and insecurity. Trusting is difficult. Furthermore, the individual has little control over changes within his or her moods. One can be happy then suddenly upset or angry. It is is extremely difficult to have a relationship with someone who suffers from this disorder. It is also extremely important for individuals with this disorder to find therapy and help.

Christian Counselors cannot treat this type of disorder but they can provide pastoral and spiritual care from a Christ centered view.
