FUTRA DAYS Trailer (2024) Tania Raymonde, Romance, Sci-Fi Movie
© 2025 - Electric Entertainment

"It feels like everything is just out of my control..." Electric Ent. has revealed an official trailer for an indie romantic sci-fi film called Futra Days, created by filmmaker Ryan David. This initially premiered in 2022 at Cinquest and is finally on VOD to watch now if anyone is interested in giving it a time travel spin. After undergoing an experimental time travel "process" that sends a man into his future, he investigates the man that he has become, by engaging in a romance with his future self's girlfriend in a mind-bending reality. The movie is about Sean's yearning for escape, about being trapped, and about the price he paid in relinquishing grand ambitions. Sounds like a tragedy. Futra Days stars Brandon Sklenar, Tania Raymonde, Jordan Hearn, Emily McEnroe, and Rosanna Arquette. Director Ryan David lists the films that inspired this one: Certified Copy, Altered States, La Notte, Primer, The Rain People, Solaris, Seconds, and All That Jazz. This looks like it's not bad but not good either - right in the middle. An intriguing sci-fi concept gone awry.

Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Ryan David's sci-fi film Futra Days, direct from YouTube:

Traveling forward in time isn't all it’s cracked up to be, as Sean Graves (Brandon Sklenar) learns the hard way. He's supposed to spy on his future self to determine if he should pursue a new romantic love interest. Even though he's warned to not interfere, Sean decides he has to investigate the tension between the man who he is now and who he will become. Even more dauntingly, once Sean is sent back to the past, "Future Sean" has to deal with the consequences of all the versions of his multiple selves' actions. Futra Days is written and directed by the American indie filmmaker Ryan David, his second feature film after directing Seattle Road (2016) previously. Produced by Orian Williams, David Zonshine, and Ryan David. This initially premiered at the 2022 Cinequest Film Festival a few years ago. Electric Ent. already debuted Ryan David's Futra Days film direct-to-VOD to watch at home - it's available now. For details visit the film's official site.
"All I've seen on my journey is a river of blood." Central Partnership has revealed an official trailer for a big post-apocalyptic western thriller called The Last Ronin, a Russian project by filmmaker Maksim Shishkin making his feature directorial debut. The film is premiering soon and will be released in Russia at the end of December. The craziest thing about this is that it's a blatant rip-off of both The Last of Us and Mad Max, combined into one gnarly VFX-heavy action movie that looks pretty terrible. Haunted by the ghosts of the past, lone traveler Ronin wanders the postapocalyptic wastelands in search of his father's killer. Everywhere he goes, he encounters blood-thirsty head hunters and rogue gangs. One day the Ronin meets a wayward teenage girl named Maria (or Mariya) who offers him a precious bounty for escorting her to her birthplace. Starring Yuri Kolokolnikov and Diana Enakaeva, with Daniil Vorobyov, Tikhon Zhiznevskiy, and Aleksandr Mizev. This has nice visuals, but only because they're straight up aping everything from these other properties and just making it look the same – with swords and robo-dogs added in. Doubt it'll be any good but you never know. This trailer is dubbed into English for everyone to watch though it's all so cringe.

'Star Trek: Section 31' Trailer #2 with Michelle Yeoh & Omari Hardwick
By Alex Billington
Star Trek: Section 31 Trailer
"You have no idea what you started!" Paramount+ has revealed the full trailer for Star Trek: Section 31, a brand new Star Trek movie made for streaming set to debut in January. Looking much better now! It's not new a series, it's a one-time movie "event" - connected to the recent "Star Trek: Discovery" series. Intended to be the first real TV movie in the ST franchise and part of producer Alex Kurtzman's expanded Star Trek Universe. Section 31 (first teaser here) stars Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh as Emperor Philippa Georgiou, who becomes an agent for a secret black ops division of Starfleet called Section 31. Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, she also must face the sins of her past. It also stars Omari Hardwick as Alok, Kacey Rohl from Starfleet, Sam Richardson, Sven Ruygrok, Robert Kazinsky, Humberly Gonzalez, and James Hiroyuki Liao. Not your usual Star Trek storyline, refreshing to see them shaking things up. Actually digging all of this footage! Some cool fights and a darker vibe this time around. Georgiou looks like a clever anti-hero having mega fun in deep space. Yeah I'm down to watch this – get a look below.

Adam Scott Goes Back to Work in 'Severance' - Season 2 Main Trailer
By Alex Billington
Severance Season 2 Trailer
"It's not out world anymore." Time to dive back in. Apple TV has unveiled the full trailer for the extra mysterious new season of Severance, the sci-fi series from Ben Stiller & creator Dan Erickson. It's looking crazier & crazier! The first season of Severance debuted in 2022 and now it's back in early 2025 (teaser here). In this sci-fi story, Mark leads a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives. Season 2 continues in Lumon where the first left off, deepening the mystery of what is going on at this strange business. "Everything they told you about Severance is a lie." The cast is back again, including Emmy Award nominee Adam Scott, with Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, and also featuring John Turturro, Academy Award winner Christopher Walken, and Academy & Emmy Award winner Patricia Arquette, and welcomes new series regular Sarah Bock. Whoa! This looks radical - uber weird and wacky and twisted and strange. What is all of this? What's up with all the goats? Why does this look so dang cool? Who's down?

Must See Trailer for Sci-Fi Thriller 'The Gorge' from Scott Derrickson
By Alex Billington
The Gorge Teaser Trailer
"Contact with the other side is strictly forbidden." Apple + Skydance have revealed the official trailer for an intriguing new sci-fi action thriller called The Gorge, a new film directed by Scott Derrickson (of Sinister, Doctor Strange, The Black Phone 1 + 2). This is ready to drop on Apple TV+ beginning in February, just in time for Valentine's Day, early next year - unfortunately it's only getting a streaming debut and no theatrical release (as far as we know). Two highly-trained sniper operatives (Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy) are appointed to posts within guard towers on opposite sides of a vast and highly classified gorge, protecting the world from an undisclosed, mysterious evil that lurks within. They bond from a distance while trying to stay vigilant in defending against an unseen enemy. Despite the corrupt and lethal world they operate in – they still find a soulmate in each other. Ah so that's why it's a Valentine's Day release. It co-stars Anya Taylor-Joy & Miles Teller, as well as William Houston, Samantha Coughlan, Alessandro Garcia, Greta Hansen, and featuring Sigourney Weaver. This looks like a George Miller movie - much bigger in scope & scale than expected, a love story intertwined with a story about defending us from the gates to Hell. Wow.

Save The Future With Love - Why is 'Interstellar' Having a Resurgence?
By Alex Billington
Christopher Nolan's Interstellar
A few years ago, I went to see Christopher Nolan's grand sci-fi movie Interstellar again on the big screen. One of my local art house theaters was running a 70mm retrospective of many various movies and they just so happen to own a 70mm print of this one (which they play once or twice a year). What better way to watch it? My screening was mostly full but not entirely sold out – plenty of open seats. Beginning this weekend in December, Paramount is re-releasing Interstellar again with a limited IMAX run (starting on December 6th). According to early reports, all of the IMAX showtimes at a prominent theater in New York City were sold out entirely a month in advance already. Turns out lots of people LOVE this movie. And not the usual love where they enjoy Nolan's movies so they always watch them on the big screen – Interstellar seems to be having some kind of resurgence. The time-traversing, love-is-the-fifth-dimension science fiction thriller first opened in theaters in November 2014 - just over 10 years ago. It wasn't a huge hit - only at #2 at the box office opening weekend. Why are more people connected to it now? Let's go into the black hole to find out...

Sci-Fi Fantasy Film 'Aladdin 3477: The Jinn of Wisdom' Official Trailer
By Alex Billington
Aladdin 3477- I: The Jinn of Wisdom Trailer
"We're better than this... we belong up there!" Buffalo 8 has unveiled a new official trailer for the indie sci-fi fantasy project called Aladdin 3477: The Jinn of Wisdom, the first film in a planned trilogy of futuristic Aladdin movies. It's now set for a VOD release in January 2025 if anyone is curious. Director Matt Busch explains the concept: "The Aladdin 3477 storyline is much different than the Disney animated version most are familiar with. Stemming from the roots of the original story, this live-action take is darker in tone... Here you'll find no singing and no blue genie doing crazy comedy impressions. [These] films will instead resemble more of a Star Wars look & feel with it's epic scale of action and cinematic wonder." This has been filming for a decade already, shooting on location the world, with additional Kickstarter support helping get the films finished. Erik Steele stars as the charming thief, with Christi Perovski as Princess Kamala, Lin Zy, Jerry Hayes, and Aaron Golematis as The Jinn of Wisdom. I dig the lo-fi, microbudget, punk sci-fi vibes of this - just not sure if the film will be any good despite all the creativity put into making it. Fire it up.

New 2025 Teaser for Pixar's Sci-Fi Movie 'Elio' - A Cosmic Misadventure
By Alex Billington
Pixar's Elio Teaser Trailer
"I'm trying to get abducted!" Finally! Pixar has revealed their second teaser trailer for the sci-fi movie Elio, described as a "cosmic misadventure." We posted the first teaser back in 2023, and it was supposed to hit theaters in March 2024 months ago. But it has been delayed until June 2025 next summer. A space fanatic with an active imagination & huge alien obsession, Elio's all in for an epic undertaking when he's beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far & wide. When Elio is mistakenly identified as Earth's leader, he must form new bonds with the eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, and somehow discover who and where he is truly meant to be. It's now being co-directed by three filmmakers: Madeline Sharafian (Burrow), Domee Shi (Turning Red), Adrian Molina (Coco). With voices of Yonas Kibreab as Elio, Zoe Saldaña as Aunt Olga, Remy Edgerly as Glordon, Brad Garrett as Lord Grigon, Jameela Jamil as Ambassador Questa, Shirley Henderson as OOOOO. This still looks like it's going to be amazing! Cannot wait to watch it next summer.

Video Games Inspired Animated Anthology Series 'Secret Level' Trailer
By Alex Billington
Secret Level Trailer
"How much would you risk just to discover what you're capable of?" Prime Video has launched their main official trailer for the "revolutionary" new animated anthology series called Secret Level, the successor to the acclaimed Love, Death + Robots anthology series on Netflix. This time, Tim Miller and Blur Studios (the same studio that made Love, Death + Robots) are focusing on video games, launching with a collection of 15 animated short films. Secret Level is a new adult-animated anthology series featuring original stories set within the worlds of some of the most beloved video games. A "celebration of games and gamers." Each episode of Secret Level serves as a gateway to a new adventure, unlocking exciting worlds from gaming classics and highly anticipated new titles. Games referenced include Armored Core, Crossfire, Dungeons & Dragons, Honor of Kings, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Spelunky, The Outer Worlds, Unreal Tournament, as well as Warhammer 40,000. So many talented video game designers have been secretly working on this for the past few years. This is an extraordinary trailer - so emotional, so exciting, packed with stunning footage. I cannot wait to see what they've been cooking up here! What a geeky surprise for us to enjoy before this year's over.

Jaeden Martell & Rachel Zegler in Y2K Bug Comedy 'Y2K' Trailer #2
By Alex Billington
Y2K Trailer #2
"Think they'll still do graduation?" A24 has revealed a second trailer for Y2K, a 1999 party comedy marking the feature directorial debut of comedian Kyle Mooney. Set to debug theaters starting in early December just before New Years coming up. It first premiered at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival to good reviews along with some negative ones, too. Two high school nobodies make the decision to crash the last major celebration before the new millennium on New Year's Eve 1999. The night gets even crazier than they could have ever dreamed when the clock strikes midnight. The hilarious NYE horror comedy stars Rachel Zegler, Jaeden Martell, Julian Dennison, and Alicia Silverstone, also featuring The Kid Laroi, Tim Heidecker, and Fred Durst. Still reminds me a bit of Bodies Bodies Bodies, though it also seems like it's inspired by the antics of This is The End. This looks totally wild and crazy and exactly my kind of ridiculous 90s humor! Tons of fun especially with all tech turning into literal monsters coming after them. Can't wait to watch this.

New 'Behind the Veil' Promo Video for 'Dune: Prophecy' Sci-Fi Series
By Alex Billington
Dune: Prophecy Series Video
"Everything to love, and nothing to hate." This is also exactly what I'm hoping for with this show. HBO has unveiled a promo featurette for the new sci-fi series Dune: Prophecy, which will begin streaming on Max later this week. Looks like it'll be worth the wait. Set 10,000 years before the birth of Paul Atreides, before the universe knew them as the Bene Gesserit... This is directly connected to Denis Villeneuve's two (so far) brilliant Dune movies but takes place in the distant past. Based on the book "Sisterhood of Dune" by Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert (Frank's son). This exciting behind-the-scenes look at the epic interplanetary series includes tons of making of shots + interview bits edited into clips of footage from the big sci-fi series. Dune: Prophecy stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Mark Strong, Jade Anouka, Chris Mason, Jodhi May, Josh Heuston, Tabu, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Aoife Hinds, & Shalom Brune-Franklin. We've seen a handful of stellar trailers for this series already, with this promo being a final reminder to add this to your watchlist in time for its imminent debut. I'm impressed by the scope and scale of this HBO show - it's connected to Dune but telling a whole other epic story. Get a closer look below.

Full Trailer for Apocalyptic Series 'Earth Abides' with Alexander Ludwig
By Alex Billington
Earth Abides Trailer
"You can't close this off to other people..." MGM+ has revealed a very long official trailer for a sci-fi thriller series called Earth Abides, yet another new streaming science fiction show to watch. It's ready to debut and will be streaming on the Prime Video MGM+ channel starting in December. Based on the classic book by George R. Stewart. "The award-winning Earth Abides is one of the most influential science fiction novels of all time, a mix of dystopian horror and a literary exploration of loneliness. It remains a fresh, provocative – and all too relevant – story of apocalyptic pandemic, societal collapse, rebirth." After months of isolation, Isherwood "Ish" Williams, learns that most of the world has died off due to a mysterious illness. Yet despite his instincts to further isolate, Ish leads the charge to develop a new civilization. Alexander Ludwig stars as Ish, along with Jessica Frances Dukes, Aaron Tveit, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll, Elyse Levesque, Hilary McCormack, Luisa D'Oliveira, Birkett Turton, Jenna Berman. They're going a bit The Tree of Life with some of these shots with the baby at the end. This looks depressing despite the intriguing setup.

Here’s the trailer for an indie romantic sci-fi film called Futra Days, which centers on a man who travels in the future to investigate the person that he has become. Part of this includes getting involved with his future self's girlfriend.

In the film: “Traveling forward in time isn't all it’s cracked up to be, as Sean Graves (Brandon Sklenar) learns the hard way. He's supposed to spy on his future self to determine if he should pursue a new romantic love interest.

“Even though he's warned to not interfere, Sean decides he has to investigate the tension between the man who he is now and who he will become.

“Even more dauntingly, once Sean is sent back to the past, ‘Future Sean’ has to deal with the consequences of all the versions of his multiple selves' actions.”

It’s an interesting concept and it looks like it could be a decent movie.

The movie comes from director Ryan David and it stars Brandon Sklenar, Tania Raymonde, Jordan Hearn, Emily McEnroe, and Rosanna Arquette.

Electric Ent. already released the film direct-to-VOD to watch at home so it's available now if you’re interested.
ComingSoon is excited to debut the Futra Days trailer for the upcoming time travel film, which will premiere at Cinequest on April 1. Written and directed by Ryan David, the film stars Tania Raymonde, Brandon Sklenar, Rosanna Arquette, Jordan Hearn, and Emily McEnroe.

“Traveling forward in time isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, as Sean Graves learns the hard way. He feels incomplete and stuck when his friend, Jessie, refers him to a medical company that has recently developed a process that allows future time travel,” says the synopsis. “Once there, he’s supposed to spy on Future Sean to determine if he should pursue a new romantic love interest. Even though he’s warned to not interfere with Nichole, Sean decides he has to investigate for himself the tension between the man who he is now and who he will become. Even more dauntingly, once Sean is sent back to the Past and Future Sean has to deal with the consequences of all the versions of his multiple selves’ actions.”

Check out the Futra Days trailer below:

Futra runs 98 minutes and is produced by David, Orian Williams, and David Zonshine. More information can be found on its official website and Instagram.
