Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast
Today will be the last day with quiet weather around the whole area for awhile. It will be relatively warm again with a mix of clouds & sun and highs in the low- to mid-80s, though cooler readings at times near Lake Michigan. Tonight some clouds will be pushing into the area, but most of us should stay dry with lows in the mid-60s. Chances of T'storms return Thursday into Thursday night with an area of low pressure and frontal boundary approaching the area. We may have to keep an eye on a few of those if the atmosphere becomes too unstable. Highs will top out in the mid-80s with plenty of humidity. That frontal boundary is going to stall out around the area on Friday bringing us another chance of a few showers or a T'storm. It'll be warm and muggy again with highs in the mid-80s. The weekend looks very warm & humid with highs in the upper-80s to near 90. Even though the weekend will not be a wash, we could see an afternoon pop-up T'storm on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
