Together with Panama and Suriname, Bhutan is one of only three countries in the world with a negative carbon footprint. Its strictly protected forests, which cover 70% of the country, absorb three times as much carbon as it emits. But now the glacial lakes in the mountainous nation are threatening to overflow as a result of climate change.
