Mass evacuations as volcano releases 4km ash cloud

Over 50,000 people in central Philippines have been evacuated following the eruption of Mount Kanlaon, which has sent a 4km ash cloud into the sky. Authorities have warned that further eruptions may occur, and have advised everyone in a 6km radius to leave the area.
