Algae blooms impact on ecology of Lake Okeechobee

Following Gov. Rick Scott's Executive Order declaring a state of emergency for Martin County, the City of Stuart followed the Order with a declaration of a local state of emergency. The health of people living on the Treasure Coast isn't the only fear. There's also concern over the ecology of the lake.
