Jones: “So you’re talking about outside of the executive order process that you need an actual plan, actual legislation that includes the wall, the technology, as well as working with those federal judges to start the deportation process. And we’re talking about even after the Trump Administration, once that has been achieved, then we can start talking about the DREAMers and other people, right?”
HOMAN: “Absolutely. You got — you got to plug the hole. You can’t keep on bailing water out of the boat and let the hole be open. You got to plug that hole first then we can bail the water. But look, it’s going to take congressional action. President Trump shouldn’t have to do executive orders and everything to secure this nation and protect our sovereignty. He will if he has to, but Congress needs to finally step up and fix this problem once and for all.”
Jones: “Yeah, because we know that the minute there’s a Democratic administration, because they don’t learn their lessons, they’ll just undo all those executive orders. So we need long-lasting legislation to finally fix this border. Tom Holman is in Chicago. A lot of those residents were crying out for help there. They said they wanted to see you. It looks like you’re there right now, sir. I look forward to an update.”
HOMAN: “Well, look, I’m here to — to talk to a bunch of people here and find out what exactly is going on on the ground. I was already in Texas. I’m working with Governor Abbott. I’ve had a meeting last week with the —“
Jones: “Yeah.”
HOMAN: “— National Sheriffs’ Association, worked with sheriffs across the country. I’m here in Chicago to speak to some groups here, some black pastors who have concerns —“
Jones: “Yeah.”
HOMAN: “— about what illegal immigration has done to their community. So, we’re already on the ground in Chicago. We’re going to fix this up as quick as we can. We’re not waiting for January 20th, I’m working now.”
Jones: “Tom Holman, thank you, sir.”
HOMAN: “Thanks for having me.”
