The IDF seized control of the buffer zone between Israel and Syria on Dec.8 in what it said was a defensive and temporary measure. Iran told Syrian President Bashar al-Assad that help against a surprise rebel offensive would be limited, if it came at all.

TBIW Comment: To be clear about this newsreel (same with many others) it is being re-posted for Awareness of NARRATIVES. This report seems to me to be a combination of part truths, and one of Multiple mutually exclusive Narratives. They can not all be (become) true at the same time, an impossibility. Dozens of 'factions' appear to be Publishing their divergent motives and goals. A dirty war run by the West?.
