Israel Laid Down With Al-Qaeda Dogs In Syria. Now It Has Fleas.

Right, so if anyone was going to run to a camera to gloat his weaselly black guts out about the fall of the Assad government in Syria then it was going to be Benjamin Netanyahu, but not only did he take enormous pleasure in talking about the collapse of the Syrian government and how this will make life difficult for Iran and Hezbollah, how this is the end for tyranny in the Middle East, despite him being the biggest tyrant going there, but the egotistical maniac actually took the credit for it too. His attacks on Iran and Hezbollah were apparently the reason Syria was able to fall to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, or HTS, formerly the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda, but the truth is a little different, because the main reason Syria fell, was because those HTS terrorists who are now trying to form an administration in Syria were backed by you and the West. That’s your role. You got chased out of Lebanon and you’re still shaking in your boots about an expected third retaliation from Iran for the last time you attacked them. Having now invaded part of Syria though, is it really a meaningful collaboration with HTS, or were they just a convenient tool for you to roll over on later? Did you lay down with dogs and now you’ve caught HTS fleas, so are you planning their extermination next?
Right, so that was Benjamin Netanyahu making a speech from newly occupied ground in the Golan Heights, Israel ready with tanks to roll straight in as Damascus fell to HTS and seize even more territory, which is awfully convenient isn’t it? Almost like you were working together, which if course you were, HTS being Turkish Israel and US backed in their goal to take down the Assad administration which succeeded swiftly, as the Syrian Army downed tools, commanders quit, a 53 year Assad dominated nation finally freed of that, but have they just become shackled to another oppressive regime in the making, as former Al-Qaeda head choppers, led by a guy who had a $10m dollar bounty on his head from the US just 7 years ago, is now getting the Zelensky treatment instead.
Netanyahu’s speech there though makes it seem that this is simply a means to an end and that he says where he hopes they can be good neighbours – in other words give baby what it wants every time it screams – they can work together, but if not, well he didn’t even veil the threat really, Syria will be next on his list and frankly I absolutely believe this is where we will end up heading.
Before the dust had even settled in Damascus following Assad’s departure, Israel moved in, seizing more territory beyond the already illegally occupied Golan Heights, taking the Syrian part of Hermon Mount to the north, the first stage, if they plan to continue northwards to creating an Israeli controlled buffer zone between Lebanon and Syria, completely cutting Lebanon off, effectively doing to Lebanon what Israel have done to Gaza, it kind of begs the question why else would they have done this if not to continue, and adding weight to that argument was the claim Netanyahu made in that piece of footage, regarding the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement, which defined the territorial line between occupied Golan and Syria signed off in May of 1974 which marked the official end of the Yom Kippur War. This led to Israel keeping it's occupied chunk of the Golan Heights, a demilitarized zone was then set up, around the city of Quneitra and Syrian territory lay beyond that.
Well we know that Israel invaded Syria right after Damascus fell to HTS, seized Hermon Mount, entered the demilitarised zone of Quneitra and then moved on to Khan Arnabeh, which lay within Syrian sovereign territory, done because, as Netanyahu said on film, he considers the 1974 agreement to now be null and void. He said it had held for 50 years and had now collapsed. Well who said? Only you as justification for entering Syria militarily. You ordered the IDF to take over the abandoned Syrian posts, but the agreement is a legal framework, just because of an administration change doesn’t collapse that. Certainly not just because you say so and it is actually a direct challenge to HTS. Add in the fact that HTS having entered Damascus, Israel then bomb it, and it isn’t exactly like popping over with a hotpot and saying hi, we’re Israel, welcome to the neighbourhood is it?
This 1974 agreement is the longest single, continuous agreement between Israel and another Arab nation that has ever existed and Netanyahu has just arbitrarily declared it void.
This is throwing your weight around again, assuming the US will have your back, when HTS will have figured the US has had their back too, saying give us what we want, or we’re going to go war with you next. If you’re aggressive towards us even though we’ve invaded you before you’ve even got your feet under the desk, we’ll do what we always do and scream victim, point at you and scream terrorist, which for once would be true and start another major conflict on yet another front. I fully expect this is what is going to happen, I just can’t see HTS accepting what Israel has just done, despite Israel having backed them until now, they’ve been providing medical aid to HTS for years and just letting Israel seize territory up the length of the Lebanese border for their own ends.
The US, having aided both sides, will look like compete saps again, thanks to Netanyahu yet again shafting them. If the US has to pick a side though, well I daresay those wanted posters for HTS leader Abu Mohammed Al-Julani from 2017 will come out once again and the whole media love in with him right now will be abandoned, no more cushy interviews on CNN, as the US will always stand with Israel.
Now, this could present an opportunity to the likes of Iran. Not necessarily a formal agreement with HTS in any way, not even necessarily helping them, but if Syria remains at war, if Israel screw this situation up by deciding to go into Syria more overtly and fight HTS now, especially as even more military gear is still entering Syria from Israel, looking all the more like they are preparing to go to war against HTS now, then getting military aid and equipment to Lebanon by land may prove more feasible than it did for example just yesterday. That would mean Israel has cut it’s nose off to spite it’s own face, because by going to war to form this buffer zone between Syria and Lebanon, it wants to isolate and make it easier for itself to take over southern Lebanon, but by fighting HTS actually make that harder for themselves.
Now this is pure conjecture, but what isn’t is the fact that Israel’s military presence inside Syria is increasing and without a clear agreement or deal in place with HTS, Netanyahu’s veiled threats very much imply that he’s preparing for a fight if HTS don’t give him what he wants. But then listening to Netanyahu it was all his doing that Syria fell, he’s taking full credit, what did HTS do? On top of that, it wouldn’t be the best of starts for Al-Julani to take over Syria and then just effectively give in to Israel’s demands, especially with Netanyahu taking the credit for what he has managed to do, albeit with Israeli assistance.
Of course another way of looking at all of this, is the fact this is all part of Israel’s Greater Israel ideology isn’t it? And certainly this was being spoken of just the other month, as back in October Netanyahu’s fascist finance minister Bezalel Smotrich called for Israel to expand its borders as far as Damascus in a recent documentary. Middle East Eye covered this, an excerpt reading:
‘In an interview for the documentary, In Israel: Ministers of Chaos, produced by European public service channel, Arte, Smotrich claimed that Israel would expand “little by little” and eventually encompass all Palestinian territories as well as Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia.
"It is written that the future of Jerusalem is to expand to Damascus," he said, citing the “greater Israel” ideology, which envisions the expansion of the state across the Middle East.
Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the incendiary remarks saying that they highlighted Smotrich’s dangerous and "racist" ideology.
Smotrich previously cited the concept at a memorial service for a Likud activist in Paris. When speaking from a podium decorated with a map of Israel that included Jordan, he claimed that there was “no such thing” as the Palestinian people.’
Right now, the next moves by both sides are uncertain. More Israeli military are entering Syria, there’s been little response thusfar to that by HTS and perhaps it will remain so, perhaps this is all part of the deal, but I think that even if it was, Netanyahu would seek to take more and he’s more likely to trigger aggression than agreement.
Israel has captured Syrian territory for the first time since 1973, will they be allowed to keep it, or are things about to kick off again? We probably won’t have to wait long to find out.
Meanwhile, for more details on the invasion of Syria by Israel thusfar, what they’ve done, the violations they’ve caused leading up more and more to a confrontation with HTS as surely seems inevitable, especially with Israeli ministers having designs on Damascus itself, check out this video recommendation here as your suggested next watch, please support the channel if you got this far by hitting like, share and subscribe that is very much appreciated and I’ll hopefully catch you on the next vid. Cheers folks.
