Genesis 31:13 - "I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar, where you made a vow to me. Now arise, go from this land, and return to the land of your birth." - Here, the angel claims to be God, affirming the divine nature of the angel who speaks to Jacob.

Exodus 23:20-21 - "Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him." - This demonstrates that the angel carries God's authority to forgive or condemn, because God's name is within him, signifying his divine essence.

Zechariah 3:4 - "Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, 'Take away the filthy garments from him.' And to him He said, 'See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.'" - The angel not only commands but has the divine power to remove iniquity, a role solely attributed to God in the Old Testament, highlighting the angel's divinity.
