January 18, 1955 - Message 6168 from Jesus through Bertha Dudde

There would not have to be so much misery and hardship on earth if the people remembered their Savior and Redeemer, He Who took the suffering of the whole of humanity upon His shoulders and suffered and died for all men on the cross... He bore it all for humanity, yet it must believe in Him and His act of Salvation, for only the guilt of sin brought to Him under His cross with sincere repentance, in faith and in the hope that Jesus Christ gave His blood for this guilt, may be considered redeemed indeed.

Yet he who does not believe in the redemption through Jesus' blood is continually burdened by the guilt of sin, and has to make atonement for it himself, he must bear all the suffering upon himself, the result of his former sin, hardship and illness, sorrow and suffering... Jesus knew that humanity had to suffer unspeakably because of its great guilt of sin. Yet His merciful love took the suffering, the consequence of sin, upon Himself... He sought to remove it through His suffering and a most painful death. He wanted to atone for it, so that the people could be freed from misery and hardship, so that, in this freedom, they would find their way back to God, from Whom they had separated themselves of their own volition...

Jesus Christ died for all people... Thus may all people carry their sins to Him... They will find forgiveness, they will be released from their burden of sin, because the divine Redeemer has taken all burdens from them and instead burdened Himself with the greatest love... It is certainly understandable that He wishes to be acknowledged as the Redeemer of the world, and that only he who believes in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Redeemer of the world will be released from his guilt; that only he who comes to Him with his guilt and asks Him to remember him will find forgiveness... He thereby willingly places himself beneath the cross of Christ, in order to be cleansed of all guilt by His blood...

But how do the people relate to Him now? Does there remain a living faith in Him, within Whom God had embodied Himself? Humanity no longer wishes to acknowledge Him, apart from a few who belong to Him... Christ's act of Salvation means nothing to the people anymore, and therefore, all those who do not acknowledge Him as He wishes to be acknowledged remain unredeemed, and the burden of sin accumulates enormously... The people must suffer the consequences of sin, because Divine Justice demands atonement from those who do not belong to the redeemed, for they have separated themselves from Him... They do not belong to those who Jesus Christ has redeemed from sin, and therefore they do not belong to the redeemed, because they do not acknowledge the divine Redeemer... They do not believe that the eternal Love Himself took the death on the cross upon Himself in order to bring redemption to people...

No man is excluded from the act of Salvation... But anyone who excludes himself cannot avail himself of the blessings of the act of Salvation either, and so he will be unable to avert the dreadful fate awaiting him in the kingdom of the beyond, if not already here on earth... For according to the Divine Justice, atonement must be made by all who refuse to take their sins to Jesus Christ, to Him Who died upon the cross for the people, to redeem them all... Amen
