Hot air whipping up mass of hay and blows it around like tornado
6 years ago
This is the remarkable moment a mound of hay got whipped up - and blown around in a WHIRLWIND before vanishing into the sky.
The incredible sight, known as a hay devil, happened when hot air near the ground rose quickly through cooler air above it, whipping the hay around in a tunnel.
Stunned onlookers stopped in their tracks to take in the "amazing" sight on Saturday in Taunton, Somerset, as the air swirled for three or four minutes.
