I Fight Against God Answering My Prayer

I asked God to guide me in the right direction, but then I fight against his guidance, because I wanted a different outcome. If we are not going to follow God's guidance, we may as well pray, "God please let my will be done". I know that God knows what is best for my life, and if I get my way it will not be a good outcome, but I fight him for the answer I desire anyway.
