At a glance, it might seem nuts, but Saylor's speculative US attack on the $20 trillion global Gold market has a very high probability of success given that Bitcoin already is posed to overtake the market cap of Gold in less than 15 years. It's already surpassed Silver, it is currently the 5th most valuable currency on the planet, and ranks #7 in the list of the most valuable assets on earth. If the US did this and sold all their Gold to buy Bitcoin, Gold would fall down near its intrinsic value for use in Jewelry and Electronics (since it is no longer used in currency) and BTC would rise to over $2.2M+ each overnight. Foreign Central Banks that have been stacking Gold would find themselves in possession of an asset worth a small fraction of what they paid for it. The US could then sell a small fraction of their Bitcoin to buy back the Gold they just dumped for pennies on the dollar. Years ago, George Soros pulled a similar stunt that lead to him owning the majority of the copper market for a much cheaper price than he sold all his shares for days before.
